CNG powered Evo wins international rally race
CNG powered Evo wins international rally race
This happened in '07, so I was surprised this wasn't posted already (or maybe I missed it)

Besides the CNG Evo VI, they also have a CNG Evo IX.

My hat off to all the innovators out there.
I'm sure there are plenty of challenges for this to be truly practical (weight, space, cost, durability...), but the thought of running 120-130 octane equivalent plus Evo agility plus less-guilty-pleasure sounds interesting.
I'd be curious to know what kind of ball park figures we're talking about here with the latest technology, e.g. weight, cost, capacity of compostie tank etc... Any differences in compression, turbo size etc. that are best suited for getting the most out of CNG?

Hehe, you'd think so
Apparently the national agencies figure it's actually slightly safer than gasoline for a couple of reasons; if something goes wrong it dissipates much quicker than gasoline and has a narrow flammability range...
I've seen folks light up whilst refuelling their (gasoline) truck, so maybe some risk is appealing to some

Either way, its probably easier to get this fuel in cali than E85. I would give it a try!
