Primer Cranking Enrichment-First Pulse-Max Value 255

Tried posting this under the ECUFlash Forum with no reponse, maybe it will be better received here...

I recently converted over to e85 and am experiencing some of the cold start issues that everyone has been describing on ROM ID 94170015. I am not currently running Tephra v7, however, I did add the xml definition need to display the Primer Cranking Enrichment Table, Post Primer Enrichment, and Post Primer Enrichment Decay in ECUFlash. The problem that I am having is the max value that I am able to put into the "units" blocks is 255 vs. the 360, etc. that you have used with great results.

My question is: how do I go beyond the 255 value in the Primer Cranking Enrichment-First Pulse table to allow for more IPW?

Sounds like the definition is wrong.

Fred, this is the definition that I am currently using, and the only one that I have seen posted for ROM ID 94170015. Please let me know if you see something that needs to be updated/changed. Thanks!

Those tables are all way out of date. Delete those tables and use these instead:

Thanks Fred. So, the tables the link directed me to are for 96530006, will this be compatible with my current ROM ID 94170015?

Nope, they won't work. Sorry about that. For some reason I thought you had a 9653 ROM. I looked through the thread, and it appears that no one has ported the definitions to 94170015 yet.

No problem. I will play around with the table I currently have. Where I live, there is no way I will ever see temps in the -20F range, so having to go beyond 255 shouldn't be necessary. Thanks again!

cheb,

I urge you to consider simply upgrading to a Tephra V7 ROM. I think this will solve your immediate needs and you will be much happier with the big maps and other Tephra enhancements.

I think you will find that upgrading to a fully enhanced ROM will be much easier than attempting to add particular enhancements to an old style ROM.

Jim

Thanks Jim, I really am considering jumping over to the v7, which I had briefly before I went to have my car professionally tuned on e85. The car drives so well right now on the current ROM, but I will certainly make the switch if cold start becomes a more serious issue.
