delivered e-85??
Hey, they don't sell e85 here so I'm looking to find a place that I could get it from in bulk/delivery like 275 gallons or so. I have a 55 gal drum I could store it in now..but just trying to find a bigger supply is the price is right...any help would be appreciated!
it won't fit
It is pretty tough to find it out your way Staatz- guys on other forums looking for E98 out your way so far have not come up with anything at a reasonable price (they want E98 to bring winter grade E70 up to summer grade E85). The guys I know of in PA, NY, MA, etc usually end up just storing enough summer grade over the winter to start the next season with (when pump stuff it is still spring blend E78). There literally are hundreds of 29,000 gal rail cars heading east every day (plus a few plants in NY and PA), yet no jobbers I have been able to uncover, are willing to drum up any. Part of the problem is that most of this ethanol is owned by major oil with little interest in alt fuels and part of the problem is that jobbers (should they take control of any ethanol themselves) do not yet have extra tankage in their bulk plants to blend E85 or drum E98 in small lot.
If you do find any- post it up- there are a lot of guys who really have an interest if it can be done reasonable in price. This would be a great thing for the performance world- especially appreciated by the carb'ed drag and circle track racers who like a fixed E%.

There is a station about 40 miles away in NY that carries e85. I'm thinking of just bringing like 6-7 5gal cans and filling up with that and storing that in my shed and going back to fill up every few weeks. My car is only driving sat/sun so I'm not gonna be putting that many miles a week on it.

Hey bud, I'm 15 minutes from Danbury in NY. I just got a 55 gallon drum to store E85. I have a trailer to fill it up so if you want to work something out, shoot me a PM. I went to Bedford yesterday and the station was shut down with cones and work trucks so I'm filling up at Chappaqua for $3.35. I have a few gallons on me now if you need any ASAP.
