E85 is Uber cheap around me for some reason)

Since I've been in Raleigh I have grown accustomed to E85 being about 10 cents more expensive then regular. I got some over the weekend at about $3.65 a gallon. I stopped at the gas station I regular get from it it was 2.93. Regular gas was $3.55. I know some of you guys stay up on the news about E85 but I hadn't read anything recently about it.

If this is just a regional thing then just ignore me. I was curious if anyone else around the country is seeing this trend.

I always thought the opposite.

Around Chicagoland area, E85 is usually ~50 cents cheaper than regular gas.

I'm jealous of both of you. E85 in AZ is usually sub $3.00, but for some reason its price has sky rocketed this year.

There was a big drop last month from 3.59 to the 2.99, so something in the market was driving the ethonal prices. It has slowly moved up to 3.24 this week, but still about .50 cheaper then a year ago.

How's the quality in NC (southeast region) vs GA vs places like northeast?

I know there was big jump up after the subsidy was killed by the fed gov. In GA the price was usually consistent. About the price of regular. In NC its always been 10 cents higher.

Before the subsidy getting killed it was easily .20-.30's cheaper then regular.

Oh well I'll just enjoy cheap it is right now (its almost 60 cents cheaper then regular).

GA was always E82-86 throughtout the year. No winter blend or any of that nonsense. In Raleigh/Fayetteville its been about E76-83. It wildly swings. No rhyme or reason.
