Bosch 040

Has anyone had problems with their aluminum gears on their 040/044 pumps?

I run double 040 intanks and are a bit worried.

E85 is somewhat dirty and could have alot of debris. Make sure to pull your tanks and check the inlet filters on them for debris. That causes them to get clogged and appear to fail.

Generally raw aluminum is not E85 compatible, but many people are running 040,044 pumps and have no problem with E85. The reason being they dont let the E85 sit in their systems for too long and actually drive the car alot. Just check on the pumps once in awhile.
