e85 sitting for over a year

So in summer last year my engine gave out on me and at the current time i was running ethanol. Not sure how much was still in the tank but assuming the lines, walbro, and filter are still full will this be a problem when i get the new motor for gas or can it simply be drained and flushed somehow?

It'll be a problem for your fuel injectors. That's for sure. As for your inline filter, maybe. I'd drain that tank and put some 93 in with fuel injector cleaner ASAP. Good luck.

To run E85, you need atleast 1000cc injectors. So I'm assuming that the engine you are buying has stock injectors. Therefore, you need to clean your current ones as i can safely assume that they are atleast 1,000cc

e85 does kind of gum up over time even during our Utah winter I put 91oct in my fuel and run it so its in the system so the e85 wont gum up as bad then start it ever few weeks to keep things moving in there. just what I do...

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. The car started and ran with the year old e85. He is going to clean the injectors before spirited driving.
