just bolt ons, KW v3 before now on FA 510s. SSB trailing arms, other adjustables + camber bushings helps with getting wide tires in there if youre into that. upgraded brakes is more important and also make sure you have a Gates timing belt atleast. I've been to ViR once, thats a nice track. Go for it

That said, I have the ohlins and they are incredible. They ride much better than the evos I have been in with FA's in my opinion. That said, I have never tracked mine so I don't have much to say about actual performance.
Stick with the KW V3s. They will likely be good enough for the tracking you plan to do.

The harshness that some may comment on about the FA's is this: FA's may feel harsh to some, but its my opinion that the digressive valving on the FA's is what they are feeling. Once the FA's are hit hard, the digressive valving kicks in which will allows the shock to blow-off and absorb the compression hit.
The O's are certainly a quality C/O but certainly missing the customization that FA offers. You have to buy the O's from one of their suppliers (i.e Performance Shock) so they can be sprung correctly. The standard O's offering, which is not sprung correctly for the CT9A chassis, is too light on the rear rates. (they are mistakenly lop sided)

The O's are certainly a nice looking C/o w/the lower billet mount but i just didnt like how the O's sell the EvO setup w/the flip / flopped spring rates. If you get the O's, have Performance do the customization & dont buy the off the shelf O's as you would get from MAP or other suppliers
Cheers, Joe
Certainly cant answer that comparison w/any facts as i have never run the O's. I own the 510's w/the Swift 10K/12K set up on the spherical upper bearings. When driving on the street, which is all my EvO sees any more, sure it may feel stiff but i remember banging on the curbs on the track & really feeling the digressive valve. That blow-off valve is real!!!

To be honest, I'm not one of those people who can feel the difference. I already have 14k/16k springs so yeah its going to be rough on bad/back streets. My heavy paddock box in the trunk weighs the rear down on the highways. I've done 1k miles with a tire trailer also NP. I set up my FA510s with helper springs so no preload. As long as it transitions well and eats up bumps while turning its good enough for me
