I'm going to try to see if John Bradley can get the code to work in his evo then I'll make a writeup once its all figured out.

Mind posting the relavent sections of the timing map?
I’ll let you guys run with this, there are some smart people here who can figure it out. This is some code that Kyle wrote and I helped test. I made an edit to it so that it watches the VSS before going to NLTS as is desperately needed. I *think* the evo ecu still uses the HC11 processor and as such the opcodes should still work. Might want to double check that you canuse accumulator A. Also The addresses on the side mean nothing, but that is where they are in a DSM ecu. You’ll have to either find an input or see if the stock clutch switch is an input to the ecu. I know MR’s have a clutch switch on the top so may be able to use that or wire one in their on non MR car’s. So just change the addresses in the code so that the locations match that to the evo ecu. Once somebody can get this code working we’ll work on pulling back ignition timing any time the clutch is in.

It wasn't on the DSM and we had to wire it into the ECU for NLTS with DSMLink.

I havent got a chance to start on this. From what I gathered from your PM Dan, I need to find these locations in the .bin and see if a) they are the same as you have coded or b) figure out the new code and implement the rest of the subroutine, yes?
completly out of the blue here but I had my 2 step set to 3800 approx and all day to day it wasnt working. rev at a stop clutch in andit would hit 7 grand. maybe its too low I will change it and let ya know what I find

Interesting. I have had intermittent problems with the LC when I had it set at 6K once. The first time I flashed the ECU, the LC went away completely. Then I reflashed and it was back.
The 2 step in ecuflash can build 10psi easilly in a stock car. It should be sufficient for most people. I still can't find the opcodes for the evo ecu. Also if anybody knows of a nice 04 or 05 evo for sale in the northeast I need to buy my own so that I can do testing.
just on a side note for those who are concerned about their clutch: I've lowered my launch to 3500, now waaaiit... waaaiitt... don't bash me, lol, and it builds about4-5psi on its own, but if you slip the clutch right, you get the same 10-12psi outta it before you launch. My clutch is being replaced next weekend so I was able to test this out.
Note:May be prudent to test this out before going to the strip w/ it, not very easy to get the slip down w/o moving, but definatley doable. However, for those of you who actually do go to the strip... the 5800 or so RPM launch is probably just easier and more effective for you. I just needed something to keep my foot outta doing it b/c it was too much fun and I dont wanna destroy my next clutch.

anyone that is looking into this that hasnt also removed the factory POS clutch restrictor will also want to do that before mad boost launch at high rpm and therefore save clutch (as much as high rpm high boost launches will)
