ECU flash

I own a JDM EVO VII 2001, i have the tatrix cable, i have ecu flash, i have copied the rom to my pc. Please advise what i am supposed to see after i get the file. Send me a screen shoot.

Or point me to where i can get detailed instructions and pics. Someone please help i live all the way in the Caribbean.

Thanks for this valuable info, but I have not gotten this far yet.

After the pc says the data has been dowmloaded, i give the file a name.

But when i extended the various drop downs and put an x in it , i get an error message which talks about correctiong the name.

Are you saving it and manually typing in .hex after the filename? For instance something like: evo7.hex?

yes i manually typed in .hex, also tried .bin
