I know speed density isn't fashionable, but with the correct enrichment it is smoother on/off the throttle than a MAF based ECU with a FMIC and dump valve I find.

It would be so tempting to change the ECU code to substitute the 3 bar MAP sensor (original on IX JDM or retrofit) value for load at some point, with an inlet manifold temperature correction, I think the sensor is there as well on my IX.

Could someone please type in the formulas they are using for load. IIRC, there were 3 of them, one of them is the is the airflow/rpm*852. What about the others?

Think your load calc is off, something is off here:

RPM InjPuls TPS AirFlow Battery load

4188 18.944 100 1245.42 13.4872 559

4438 18.688 100 1314.61 13.4872 544

4594 18.688 100 1339.77 13.4872 538

4719 18.176 100 1383.81 13.4872 517

4906 17.9200 100 1446.71 13.4872 504

5063 17.9200 100 1503.31 13.4872 498

5219 17.9200 100 1541.05 13.3406 493

5406 17.15200 100 1566.21 13.4139 466

This is at peak, 5500RPM up is 1603 hz

As long as ECU isn't reading that

The header names also matter... thats why I supplied a Data.xml file.. Your just not logging the correct information..

Oh, the Data.xml has the stuff I need - I was trying to use the conventional 0.8 to get load no wonder my load way wayy off. I'll see if I can get it up and running tomarrow

So this is what I need to do, right?
  1. Somehow load the data.xml to my evoscan
  2. do some logs with the add collumns like afrmap (and others)
  3. Drag and drop my new logs into my calculator
Thanks MalibuJack

yea just copy and paste the xml file to evoscan, make a run log it in evo scan. When finished open up the drag and drop program..drop your excel log in it where it says drag here...now there is a notepad file also that you can use with datalog lab to help you view your log in graph format..

so has anyone seen the OCT number go down? My GM MAS is going bad I fear and I had terrible knock and misfire up top yesterday while doing pulls. I showed in excess of 3 volts for knock and evoscan said up to 4 counts in a few places, but OCT stayed 255 solid. (I do have my maps flat for tuning purposes right now, but that shouldn't affect the logic correct?)

Generally 285-315 depending on the gear. Normally right at/under 300.. only time I've seen it go over is while spinning in 2nd gear. Running 24-26psi.

Just chil, what % MeOH/H2O are you at now?

OT: I'm about to do a clutch install, would you recommend your old 2004 write up, or Evomoto's for the procedure? Good 1/8 mi runs BTW

Finally got the right load and correct info, thanks for the help yesterday MalibuJack and Mchuang!

Man this stuff gets more fun and useful by the day!

EDIT - WOW, thats small,

Never seen MeOH lol.. is that alky? I'm running around 50/50. Sometimes I put a lil extra alky in just for kicks.

I got some new logs today... once I've review them I'll post them up (if anyone wants to see them).
