Evoscan 0.9 airflow volume reading
Does anyone know what the units are for the MAF aiflow volume? Has anyone logged the airflow volume for a stock airbox? Just want to compare.
There are several IX stock airbox logs posted around here
I f this is what your asking, OEM MAF measures airflow via a methaod beyond scope of my brain, however it feedbacks it to the ECU as a readable frequency (hertz, Hz), and it is this Hz that you are reading on the scan logs - 1603hz.
There are quite a bit of differences with this reading between airbox to aftermarket intake/filter. Allthough readings are way different, the airflow, volume, or velosity may not be different at all. This is because the stock MAF was calibrated to meter air for it's specific design and changing that changes the way the air travels accross the sensor

Actually, I think what MIEVO was asking was about the new category in EvoScan 0.9. It is now defined as Airflow Hz (the one we used to all know and hate.. maxes out at 1603Hz, etc.) and "Airflow Volume" (which is a new one we have never seen before).
