^^^thanks for the code...

Appauldd has setting for 4 different decel fuel cut delay tables, though.

your code only contains info for 2 of those tables.

does 88590015 not have 4 tables? or do those other 2 just not matter?

thanks

appauld and boosted tuning, thanks to both of you. Finally it seems to be cured, I had an '06 here I couldn't let leave because the throttle hang was so bad, I thought it was actually dangerous to drive like it was.

Something odd though if you don't mind. I added the data to the XML for the 88590015 ROM and the ISCV tables only show the RPM column and half the column that needs to be set to 0. I can not expand it larger to see those columns and they don't seem as though they can be modified becuase of only half the cells being shown. By half I mean literally only half of the cells can be seen, as in CUT in half. It looks like if you could drag the table to the right to expand it then it would be correct but it won't allow that either.

Also I only have Decel Fuel cut delay 1 and 2 that show up, is there a 3/4?

The car is fixed so I guess it doesn't matter, just pointing it out.

Thank you both VERY VERY MUCH.

No prob David....we are here to help.

As for the 8859 rom...are you certain you have an accurate xml listing for that rom? I sounds like the address and/or table(s) is missing.

I have to be honest, most of the time when I start messing with these XML's I get feeling dumber than a rock.

The link you sent me takes me to a zip file, that file size when I add it to my folder shows it is 13KB. I have another file already in there that is labeled, TephraMOD-88590715 that is 65KB. Shouldn't that much larger file already contain the information in the 13KB file and about 5 times more?

I am asking, I hope this doesn't sound like I am being some type of jerk. This stuff is frustrating to guys like me with NO computer knowledge! haha

That link was the original link posted in the v7 thread.

Hmmmm. I haven't played with an 9 roms. I guess it wasn't as complete as the other rom versions.

I will do some hunting for you.

Appauld, do you have the XML definitions (I think I'm asking for the right thing) for the 2005 ROM to fix this? I've had a few 2005's that were horrible. I believe the definition that boosted tuning posted is for the 2006, has to be I guess since it worked in the car I fixed this morning!

Would you like me to post the big Tephra xml I have?

i had that same problem

you are missing these scalings:

<scaling name="ISCV_AX2_8" units="% Demand" toexpr="x*100/255" frexpr="x*255/100" format="%.1f" min="0" max="200" inc="0.5" storagetype="uint8" endian="big"/>
<scaling name="ISCV_AX2_16" units="% Demand" toexpr="x*100/255" frexpr="x*255/100" format="%.1f" min="0" max="200" inc="0.5" storagetype="uint16" endian="big"/>

Good call....I saw that too. I am working on building a better defined 8859 xml for David. The one he sent me was missing a lot and had all kinds of crazy tables that are not used.

I tried searching for the def's/patches for the "decel fuel cut" and came up with nothing. That's wrong, I came up with too many threads which I searched through the first 5 and gave up after 30 minutes.

Can someone post the def's for 88590015 please? It would be much appreciated.

EDIT...NM, I'm stupid.

Edit (Again)......So there's only 2 decel tables for 885?

mclaren, while I am waiting on someone who actually knows WTF is going on (Thank you appauldd!!) I tried the fix you sent me. I put it in with the fuel tables and it didnt' work but did figure out for myself it has to go at the top with the other scalings That is what was wrong and the iscv tables do work correctly now. Thank you.

I try.
