Unhappy Mail-in tune, No MIVEC Changes?

I realize that the EcuFlash team hasn't discovered all the maps on the Evo IX ECU yet, but I just wanted to run this by some people who are in the know.

I received a mail-in flash from a well-known tuner, who purports to change MIVEC settings on the tune. Well, I was able to read the ROM in EcuFlash and noticed that the main MIVEC map was exactly the same as before . Is it possible that this is not the only MIVEC map, or did the tuner make a mistake?

Thanks for any help.

At this point, I'd rather not say. I have a feeling it was a mistake and I just want to call them up with evidence and I'm sure they'll make it right.

Some leave it alone and some change it. I already have a good idea as to who you are talking about.

The guy that also tunes in big blocks of 8's sets alot of the midrange MIVEC timing from 24.4* stock to 19.2* from what I have seen.

TTP's tunes also make changes to the MIVEC.

There are no hidden MIVEC maps.

I have an email flash from the tuner I believe is being referenced in this thread and the MIVEC tables are different; higher in some areas, lower in others.
