Recommendation for wideband please

I'm posting my question in this forum since there are smart people in here ... and I'm using EcuFlash + the MalibuJack logger (I love you in a non-gay way MalibuJack!!!).

I'd like to add a wideband O2 sensor with data logging capabilities such that I can either integrate with the MJ logger, or somehow merge log files in order to perform proper analysis of AFR in conjunction with knock counts, timing, etc. for tuning purposes.

Recommendations please?

MalibuJack if you're there ... I know the new version of your logger has the new plugins capability ... do you know if any of the popular widebands will be integrated soon? If so, that's probably the one I want to buy.

Thanks!
Josh

Thanks Scott. It does look like a very powerful system and I'm intrigued. So is there a way to incoporate/merge logging from evoscan/mj logger AND the ZT2 together in a single log for viewing? Or does the ZT itself natively log enough parameters such that the evoscan/mj logger becomes superfluous?

Specifically I would want to at least see ignition timing, knock counts, AFR, airflow, IPW, boost (need MAP sensor obviously ... silly mitsubishi), and load (calculated i guess) all in one log/graph. Doable?

Keep in mind I'm not saying I would have much of a clue what to do with all of this data, but it seems like with all of these parameters logged together, I could get down into the science of learning how to really tune this beast.

<dreaming> All I need from there is a load bearing dyno and a realtime display of exactly which load cell I'm hitting </dreaming>

the Innovative Wideband (LM-1) should work fine with evoscan.

Both loggers can run concurrently AND Zeitronix is also SUPPORTED IN EVOSCAN logging for AFR.

yes, you can run evoscan and the zeitronix logger simultaneously. you can log your AFR to evoscan from the zeitronix directly. if you have the MAP sensor and you're logging boost you can easily refer between the zeitronix and evoscan logs since they're both timestamped by your computer's clock.

Very good info, thank you. I didn't know that timestamp was actually from the ECU! So that can be the key to correlate the data ... excellent.

The timestamp isn't from your ECU. It's from the clock in your PC. Since you'd be running both EVOscan and Zeitronix's logger on the same laptop they will both use your laptop's clock. The EVO ECU doesn't have a clock of its own, at least not one used for telling time.

LOL, sorry ... by computer I thought you meant the ECU ... my bad. Still a good point though, thanks again.

If you only have one usb port, can you still do this with some sort of adapter?
Evoscan and Zt2 in some kind of 2 into 1 usb adapter?
I want a Zeitronix, yet not a new logging/tuning laptop.
Basicly I'm used to using the utec and tunerpro having everything in one log, and I'd like to log my evo's the same way.
thanks

Original equipment is a serial output.

If you have a serial input, you may use that.

if your laptop only has one USB port and no serial port then you need

usb->serial adapter for zt2
mini usb hub

connected the converter to the ZT2, then plug the hub into your laptop. connect ZT2 and tactrix to the hub and you're off. i believe most mini USB hubs don't need external power.

Spec'd -- Why do you have both the Zeitronix LCD and the pocket PC / palm connected? Is the ZT LCD really big enough to read while driving? I think I am going with the ZT wideband, but am not sold on the LCD. Your advice / recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks
