Next version of Evoscan?
you couldn't easily do a thermocouple input as you need to amplify the signal first.
i have actually been toying with the idea of making a box that plug into a laptop and log things such as MAP, thermocouple amps (x4), various temps, various pressures (oil, fuel), and throw in an digital accelerometer too. obviously there are already boxes that can do this, but they all are way more expensive then they need to me.

Okay, here's what you do to get the program to save your settings: create a directory called "SavedSettings" within your EvoScan directory. Then put a .xml file in there and rename it to "EvoScan.xml". Then, open that file (right click, select 'Open With', then 'Wordpad') and delete all the contents. Resave it. Run EvoScan. You'll get an error. Close EvoScan and re-run it. Now everything will work fine and you'll be able to save all the settings.

).A better solution would seem to be to have a default xml file stored in the same directory of the exe which comes with the default settings. This would force the program to always load from an xml file on start and probably simplify the load experience into one code path (not having access to the source I could guess how the default stuff is stored
). When the user changes these settings it asks them to save (with the default being of course the default xml file). You can still add in the option to load/save settings to a different xml file but out of the box the save feature would be more exposed. Just my 20 cents
codgi: Maybe you already realize this (I can't tell from your comments), but Evo4Mad mentioned in another post that his build of the installer accidentally left out the extra folder. It was supposed to be there. This extra process is just a workaround.
For a lot of people (real tuners), having multiple configs might be a great idea. Personally, I have no use for it since it's just me and my own car.

. But as I alluded to in another post this is why he has to have someone full time to test the stuff before he releases it. Thats a pretty basic bug.
