the only reason to run any piggyback with ecuflash is map switching, otherwise you can do everything with the stock ecu that you can do with safc

example, race gas, alky, nos, without reflashing back and forth

The piggyback has its home..

A good reflash is a great starting point.. a good Piggyback allows you to fine-tune it to suit different needs or changing conditions you might want to compensate for.

Also, some piggybacks also offer Maf translation capabilities, or speed density, those tools remove the stockMAF as a restriction.

The AFC really doesn't have a huge following with the EVO crowd anymore, now that there are other tools that can do the job a little better than an SAFC alone. However the SAFC does have some good instrumentation, and can be used to bump the frequency or alter the MAF curve slightly to accomodate some anomolies that you might find. But its not the best tuning tool any longer for our cars..

There are plenty of really good piggybacks out there that have different features and levels of complexity, and all are a great compliment to a reflash, but the reflash is still required for some basic settings that you just cannot alter with the piggyback alone.
