i dont have software to pull info from my wideband... not that i know of anyway. or a way to read it other then the gauge face itself. on the UEGO i have, there are 2 harnesses... 1 goes from the 02 sensor it comes with to the gauge and then the other goes to power, ground, then has a blue wire and white one... the blue wire says it goes to a serial adapter if used, and the white one, i forget where... but its not used either....
how are you switching the log to com 1? if i change the block on the devices to anything other then FTDI FT232, the program wont log any info. ... is there something else i am missing ?

i meant change it so your adaptor shows up as the com1 or com2 port instead of com4 or com5. then make sure your evoscan is logging off that port. i made my tactrix cable com1 and my usb to serial com2 so then when i open evoscan i just select my wideband and set evoscan to read the wideband on com2.

its not allowing me to change my tactrix cable to com anything, not that i know of anyway, i swear i looked. it shows up as openport mitsu 1.3 or something like that, and when i clicked on properties, there was no port options.
go to your device manager, it will tell you what com port everything is on next to the device. you can double click on a device to open the device properties. then go to port settings, advanced and you can change what com port its on. you will have to do some reorganizing since the communications port is automatically com 1 i changed my communications port to com4 and put my open port ecu as com1 then set my zeitronix to com2.

Also be sure your cable is plugged in when your trying to look for the info..
Not that your doing that, but its a common error..

yeah, my process is pretty standard now... i turn on the car, plug in my O2 cable, it finds the adapter, i see the adapter in my hardware list... it actually shows up 2 times... one is the adapter and the other says virtual serial port. Neither have a com port in parenthesis or a way for me to set one. This is being such a pain in the ****. i have a very strong computer background, have been repairing them (hardware and software) for the better part of my army career... just cant seem to figure this out. i'm still waiting for someone with a 6 in 1 uego to chime in to see if theirs is working and able to do logs
Jack i know you are super busy and thanks for the help, i just wish it was something so simple lol

This may sound odd, but it sounds like older drivers.. I had a hell of a time getting rid of the old drivers on one of my machines..
Another thought, because I recall another member saying he had this issue, but is your USB-Serial converter for the other devices an FTDI chip device also? I don't have one so I am not sure if this would be a conflict, but its possible..

when i bought the adapter, it didnt come with adapters... so i had to go to the site and download newest version, I dont have any other devices using a serial to usb converter... the only thing i have ever attempted to install with it is the wideband. I bought it new from best buy, and then installed it. All so far has been a pain in my rear
Alot of these adapter I have found don't work very well or a PITA to set up like you are finding out.
This USB to Serial converter I have found works great the first time: http://pfranc.com/usb/usb.shtml
