Stock timing/fuel maps...

Is there anyplace I could look at the STOCK 2003-04 and 2005 timing and fuel maps? I figure that is a good way to see if a car has been flashed previously. A friend of mine has just bought a 2003 EVO and he doesnt know if its been flashed or not. Any input appreciated! Thanks!

always a good idea to check, my ecu was previously flashed and it was a horrible tune giving the car 10 knock counts, I fixed it right away.

10 knock counts is far from a "horrible tune." Its 3 deg or so more than the ECU wants at that particular moment in time.

whatever dude, the car was nose diving when it got into that kind of knock, that's a horrible tune.

10 counts isnt good by any means but its not the worst tune. My car knocks 2-3 counts here and there, tune is still perfect for me, because its aggressive.

All cars knock every now on then. You will not get a knock free log everytime you do a WOT run.

Well technically you can, but its going to be a very conservative tune and youll be missing out on some power

Your telling me that you can make 2500-7500 rpm WOT 3rd gear 3-4 runs back to back and get ZERO knock in your logs?

I would love to see that on your current car.

The old addage "If you aint breakin you aint racin" comes to mind. "No knockin not close to rockin". I usually tune for the occasional 1-2 counts above 5500 or so and keep peak torque quiet (max BMEP) as possible.

Umm of course you can, but youre not going to be making the power you should be. If I currently took out 2 degrees of timing everywhere right now I would not knock anywhere. Right now I only occasionaly get the 2-3 counts.
