Getting my Evo 9 ROM
Getting my Evo 9 ROM
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering how you DL your cars ROM and immobilizer code...Is it just a matter of hooking up the cable to your laptop with the key off, Turning the key to the ON position without starting it, and clicking "read from ECU"?
I have not come across a clear cut answer and i want to get this underway.
Once I have it, do i just append a .hex to the file and then ill be able to open it whenever or do i have to do more?
Thanks in advance and i apoligize if its been covered before,
JoshR

hook up ur cable to the obd2 port and the other connector adjacent to it..
make sure ur usb cable is plugged in before u open ecuflash.
click to read from ecu (either from the drop down menu or the icon) and then click file save as...
i usually save as "stockmap.hex"
make sure u type the .hex extension
