Tuning 1000cc injectors on ECU Flash

So the world thinks that you cant Tune 1000cc Inj. on the stock ECU... Here's alittle story. for you.

Well when i got off the Phone with AMS this morning asking them what the recommend fuel pressure was @ idle. Whoever i talked to said that it was "very difficult to tune 1000CC inj. on the stock ECU" Then when I talked to JRod @ BR this morning to find out the latency values for my 1000s He said "The largest you can tune on the stock ECU is XXX!!! " Well, Im not doubting that these very comparable tuners have more than enough experiance with this type of Situation. But im against the odds i guess.........

My Setup...

SBR GT 35r Turbo kit
AMS 1000cc Inj.
Comp Cam 280's
Tial 50 mm BOV
Ported head
Fully built valvetrain ( Search my user name and you can get more info on my build)
Fully built bottom end

OK, well these are my values so far. Most of my map, Post some Logs off EVO scan, I'll post some pics of the setup and a Clip of the Idle,

Heres the Log.

+1, i have heard many many times that 860's are max on stock ECU...

I don't really understand what the point of this thread is though. Are you stating that you run 1000cc injectors, 280 cams, and a tial 50mm BOV; all on the stock ECU?

I'm sick of hearing all of that crap, too.

People have been using 1000cc and bigger injectors on the stock DSM ECU and DSMLink for years before the Evo was even here.

Buschur always recommends an AEM because he sells them and tunes them. He just doesn't care about the stock ECU. Vendors are always quick to sell a standalone when they are not needed.

Bingo! just marketing that is all. Besides that is what the ecu tuning community is about. Making the unimpossible possible.

Thats why im making this thread, Because I agree, there are NO threads....ZERO actually that are specfic to 1000ccs on the stock ECU and i got them to idle good, now getting the cruise is just a matter of tunning the fuel map..... thats why i posted them

I love seeing others using the stock ecu to tune 1000cc injectors. It's all preference for me, if you can afford ems, by all means do it. I like to push the stock to it's limit and have fun with that before I move on.

Thanks for all the info guys but has anyone posted dyno graph's with 1000cc on stock ecu?

I think the average evo driver doesnt know much about cars compared to the Classic wrench it yourself, backyard DSMer that im used too.... leading to my next point your average EVO owner, esp ones that are willing to mod there cars a heavy amount, Are well established, or more well off, then your classic DSM driver sterotypically are younger gear heads with less income. Hence your whole marketing gimic with AEM... Time and time again.. I'll refer to Malibu Jack and his setup. yet the pioneer for the EVO community as far as im concerned. He's prob the sole reason why im even considering this huge project.

Ahhh haaaa I ust saw the Broom brooooooooom part!

I'll have some graphs shortly i know that CBRD is going to be using the stock ECU for his 2.3L 35r Setup. he's also running a set of 1000cc in his evo 9. im pretty sure that he would too. Speaking of i should prob get in touch with him as well.

There's another thread on here relating to tuning for larger injectors using info from the AEM EMS... they talked about tuning 1000cc injectors in that thread. Can't remember how I found it though... I'll see if I can dig it up.

I'm interested in tuning 1,00cc injectors on stock ECU. I'm wanting to convert to E85 and put in a set of 1,000cc's I have lying around.
