USB help

So I'm using a mac but I used virtual PC and plugged in my tactrix cable.

I was able to read from the ECU and upload my stock IX map.

I downloaded a few programs such as a new version of mitsulogger and went out to day to try and read from my ecu again... and the "read from ecu" light will not come on...

The first time when I did it a little warning in the right hand corner would tell me it recognized a new usb device (tactrix)... it doesnt do that anymore... when I go to usb options it shows it and I can click it but when I press OK it doesnt stay clicked... any suggestions?

hmm you are asking for trouble using virtualpc/vmware whatever...

can you not dual boot windows xp on a really small partition? purely for flashing/logging?

He might be running a G4 and not an Intel Mac.

My suggestion would be to make sure you have Virtual PC running and active when you first plug in the cable. Other than that, try installing ECUFlash again and it should force you to reinstall the Tactrix drivers as well.

He must be using a powerpc machine because there is no intel/mac virtual PC.

To the original poster. There isn't enough info you your post to provide an adequate answer. What exactly isn't working?
