A problem with evo 9
So last night a friend of mine wanted to change the standing rev limit from 5000 to 6000rpms on his evo 9 special edition, everything seemed to go normal the laptop read the rom we changed it from 5000 and tried to write it back to the ecu, it would simply not go back into the ecu it kept giving me errors and wouldnt write it.
Anyone have any idea of what it could have been i have the rom if someone can take a look at it

if you could send the ROM to otisrsx@gmail.com i will take a look at it.
Did you have the white connector plugged in? Do you remember what error you were getting?
CJ
yeah the plugs were both connected he had it flashed at turbo trix not to long ago for cams and and exhaust and stuff but they left the standing revs at 5000, he went to the track and ran a 12.2 at 112 with it

so you were able to upload the tune from the car with no problems, you are able to view all the tables correctly without a problem, but you can't write it back to the ecu after making your rev limiter?
sometimes the 9's won't let you read or write to them if the battery voltage is to low. this can happen with a perfectly good battery too. just make sure you dont have to many accessories running, such as headlights, stereo, anything plugged into the cigarette power outlet. see if that changes anything.
