ROFLMAO.

Thats damn right. All conjecture. The stock ECU is not good for more than 200 hp. You must get a Big time shop to get your car tuned with an aftermarket ECU. Just switching to aftermarket ecu = 50 hp. wowzorz.

Seek and ye shall find. The number of high hp stock ecu SELF TUNED cars grows every day. But then again, their dynos must be conjecture.

It sure does. Just make sure you pick the right tuner. Do your reasearch on the forums and make your best choice. The flash right now is something you NEED not want b/c of your mods. It is not uncommon to gain 25-35 HP with a simple flash. If its a daily driver and youre not planning on going nuts with mods and $$$ then stay with the stock ECU.

Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. You have to keep in mind that a shop will always prefer to sell you a $600+ EMS system which you then have to pay them money again to tune as well, as opposed to just paying to have the tune done with the flash...which ones will make them more money?

You have a choice of mailing in your ECU to a tuner that will tweak it to better suit your mods or you can e-mail your ROM along with a log to a tuner that will do the same thing. I would suggest the latter because it's closer to a custom tune and it's always fun having the tactrix cable.

Oh its quite simple what he said lets elabrote a little:

Mail in ECU:

- Physically remove ECU from car send to tuner
- Tuner flashes the ECU and sends it back
- Install and enjoy
- Requires wrench... patience and spare vehicle

Email Flash:

- Read rom using Tactrix cable and Ecuflash
- Email Rom to tuner and pay them
- Tuner redoes your map and emails you back
- Flash your emailed rom and enjoy
- Requires flashing software, logger, and tactrix cable
- Generally more complete tune with adjustments made by tuners based on your logs

Did i miss anything?

This is probably the best option for you. There are 3 10mm bolts on the ECU behind the glove box. I would remove it, next day air it to us and we would flash it and mail it back to you the same day as we received it. You would reinstall it, put back the 3 10mm bolts and drive away in your new found power and torque.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM us.
