Help! EvoScan .99 2 byte load problem

Recenlty I logged using new evoscan .99 and I did the 2 byte mod correctly.
Then, I found my 2 byte load was all screwed. am I supposed to edit the XML file for 2 byte load? How?
It seems that The XML file came with evoscan only loads 1 byte instead of 2 bytes from the data.xml file.

<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="Load MUT 2Byte Mod" LogReference="LoadMUT2Byte" RequestID="00" RequestID2="01" Eval="0.3125x" Unit="units" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="500" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="500" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" />

My line in the Data.xml file for 2-byte load looks like this...

<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="Load MUT 2Byte Mod" LogReference="LoadMUT2Byte" RequestID="00" RequestID2="01" Eval="0.3125x" Unit="units" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="500" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="500" ScalingFactor="1" Notes=""/>

... and it works just fine, so it doesn't look like that's your problem. Did you add these settings...

<table name="2 byte load high bit" address="3EE86" category="Misc" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint16" />

<table name="2 byte load low bit" address="3EE8A" category="Misc" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint16" />
</rom>

...to the appropriate .xml file for your ECU then change these values...

Enter 27458 as the value for "2 byte load high bit".
Enter 27459 as the value for "2 byte load low bit".

...and flash the changes?

EDIT: These instructions are for the Evo IX .15 ECU. Since it looks like you've got a VIII I believe the address for 2-byte load is different.

Here's a "how-to" on 2 byte load:

The link above is for the IX v 15 ECU. If you used that tutorial, you need to track down the correct values for your VIII ECU.

I noticed after doing this, my evoscan has a bit choppy delay before it reads new figures not a smooth transition when reading figures. Instead of an 'instant' change in values, it's acting as if after the change it reads in slow motion. Wonder why...

Dang it! I put it in reversed order. Low and high byte address has been swapped.

Okay, Evo Scan is fine. the Rom mod was the problem. I can't wait to test this!

thanks guys
