I already use the 60 pill for 25 -> 21psi on stock turbo. I'm just curious if the 65 pill and the Forge actuator will let me hold 30psi on the FP Green and the stock solenoid.

I have plenty of supporting mods.

razorlab,

On your last message you said "We have a billion #65 pills". Now I have some questions. We are talking about the pill for the turbo compressor side of the hose right? Do you know what size is the OEM Mitsubishi pill (turbo side)? If I want to run 23 PSI with the OEM solenoid does this pill works or do I need a smaller pill? Do I need to remove or bore the pill on the boost control solenoid side to let more air “out” of the system for higher boost (i.e. 23 psi)? Let me know I am interested in getting one of those pills and start playing with ECU Boost Control.

Yes it is the pill on the compressor side. With properly tuned boost tables you can run wastegate pressure to 26 psi + with this pill.

You keep the stock solenoid side pill in.

If you want to run 23psi.... all you have to do is flip flop the hose thats connected to the compressor boost source. The pill is designed in a way that is more efficient one direction of flow than then other. Flipping the hose makes it harder for air to make it to the actuator. I'm running only a reversed pill at the compressor and seeing a 24psi spike with a fat mid range that needed a little WDC reduction to level off at 22psi. It still fades at 6500+ but it did that with the #65 pill as well.

Interesting, so you are reversing the venturi effect of the stock pill? Have some logs with this?

^ Don't have any logs.... but I have done a few back to back swaps to verify. One direction gave me stock boost and the other bumped it up about 2 psi.

I still think the 3port GM boost solenoid is the way to go. No pills, excellent response, and added boost holding capabilities.

I was running the 65 pill but started getting too much midrange spike in the cold weather we are having. I'm leaning towards direct boost control.

So you never logged the boost? How are you certain that it held more boost over the whole powerband? I'm not challenging you here, just interested in real data.

I agree with the GMBCS.

To answer my own question...

I'm capable of holding 25psi at redline with this setup (#65 and Forge Actuator) with only 27.5% WGDC... I'm assuming 30psi will be possible (for the setup, perhaps not for the turbo)

Yes those forge actuators work pretty well. I've had one sitting around forever to go on my personal car with FPGreen. I should install that thing soon.

I want a pill, can I still get one of these venturi ones?

Looking for 21psi and room for more later with direct boost control. What do you recommend #65? (this is assumed from the first post)
