I have found out myself that the lower the boost at higher rpm allows for more advance, more boost at higher rpm allows less advance, especially past 5k rpm. Others too have tested and stated the same.

What I noticed in my logs, this was the case for timing too. And from seat of the pants this matched the logs.

I'll try to put up some logs tonight. I've been trying to get the settings just right on my car and am getting some odd results ... so I've got a few logs to pick through. JB, we briefly discussed the lack of interpolation between RPM cells and that's what I'm trying to overcome. I'm getting a torque loss from, say, 5000 to 5500 ... but, modifying the value at 5000 will sometimes produce a dip at 4500 or 5500 instead.

It seems that the effectiveness of the VVT value at a give RPM is dependent on the value in the RPM block before. I don't know what that would be, but it seems to happen a bit to me. But, I've got a somewhat odd setup on my car.

Here is an example of the power loss with higher boost ...

The darker line is a previous VVT map and that pull is a few weeks old. But, notice the top end boost, load, and power comparisons.
