Is that on 91 octane gas? What is your AFR and boost on 91 octane gas?

You can't dial in the AFR with timing that is way off. Once you fix the timing the AFRs will be way off.

I understand that but leaving them where they were would have meant I would have been running very lean at 5K and up.

Did some logs today, with a more aggressive timing approach after peak torque. There is still some left in the car but most importantly the results were repeatable and consistent. Comments welcome :

Your timing is still LOW. The car is still hitting 0 to -1 timing in the 4000 rpm range. I run 4* in that range on 91 pisstane gas. Your timing @ 6000 rpm is also low. I run 6-7* on 91 pisstane gas.

Why are you so cautious of running more timing? Your car is not going to blow up, don't worry. I am a big fan of retarded timing, but what you are doing is too much.

Edit: Please start your logs @ 2500 rpm. That will give you a better idea of what the car is doing.

I understand there is more left. I only got 2 logs in today so I really couldn't do much else. This was my first really adjustments I made after ditching the intake and I am having some trouble with the ebc holding boost on the stock box.

I have always took baby steps when tuning my cars, especially my daily driver and also I am still feeling my way around ECUFlash (I hated my TEC3 unit but I kind of miss it now) so I guess I am pussing out alittle . Plus there is some C16 still sloshing around in the tank and don't want to get ahead of myself when tuning the pump map. I would love to be able to make 2500RPM pulls but it is kinda busy traffic wise when I get the chance to get out. Thanks for the info, much appreciated . There will be more more to come in the next days when ***** finally drop and I lean into it lol.

OK guys back for some more.

I fixed quite a few problems that popped there head up at another appearance at the dragstrip. I had a HUGE boost leak at the comp outlet, the valve cover breather and a ripped vac line to the wga. I am suprised the car ran as well as it did before. Anyway, I whipped up a short ram intake for the car and ditched the stock air box. I think the car is running pretty good but have nothing good to compare it against since everything else I logged was with all the problems. DLL says I am up 25hp from the old logs. Anyone have a log that they can compare my accel times against yours? Here is a couple of logs and accel comps to take a look at and compare against. As always, your comments and suggestions are always appreciated

When are you going to take her back to the track?

I too ma learning from evo scan and am learning from your logs.

Looks like you have a few counts of knock that creeped up on you at the end there.

Good luck.

Tyler

P.S. I believe you can still run higher timing than what you are running now. But doing it slow is a good idea.

I will probably take it back to the track August 25th when there is a Saturday test and tune (fridays are tough with work anymore). Glad you could take alittle from what I am posting. Yeah the knock crept in around peak torque. Didn't add enough fuel into my lower load from 3000 to 4000rpm so the car came into torque alittle lean. I know there is some left in timing especially from peak torqe through 6500 but it feels like I am starting over after fixing everything lol. I will keep updating this as I make changes and go to the track so check back .
