Popular EM reliable?
Hoping you could help. Ive been browsing around the engine management systems threads, and this seems like the popular one. turboxs utec, aem ams, & others had a few viewers.. You probable guessed it, car needs some em. i already have utec, by bad mistake
. No utec reputable tuners in area. So, thinking about tactrix cable, would i get most the info/help i need here? Thank you for time.

Yes, there is a vast amount of info in this section and if you do some research and have time to spend taking it slow you could tune your car with info provided here and possibly other sources. make sure and write down or memorize your immobilizer code and backup your stock map. Be careful and take it slow.
Or..
You could pay a tuner to tune your car using ECU Flash (custom in person or e-flash or even mail in). There are flash vendors that provide their services at reasonable rates and are even able to tune your car remotely if necessary. make sure to keep a copy of your stock map in case you want to go back to stock and write down or memorize your immobilizer code.

I learned pretty much everything I know about tuning from the vast amount of info posted here. Read a bit and look deeper in to the things people mention often, like 2-byte load and lean spool. You'll find yourself down in a big whirlpool of information, but if you can get a grasp of it all you can do wonders with the stock ECU.

impreza2darksyd, I have quite a bit of information about how the process works and a video tutorial on my site www.mellontuning.com it should help you get up to speed rather quickly with the basics, but let me know if you have any questions.
the information you desire is in this forum section but it's spread out all over the place so I feel your pain. Hopefully my website will help.
