I would personally rather have fuel cut. Cutting only spark just dumps a ton of fuel into your cylinders, possibly washing the cylinder walls. If you want anti-lag along with this, just retard the timing.

Cutting just spark may be a little useful on pure drag racing, huge turbo cars, because the fuel can possibly be ignited in the exhaust manifold/ turbine housing, helping to spool the turbo, but I just don't think this is a good idea for our cars.

I have used the DSMLink fuel cut NLTS and it worked great.

Maybe the option of having one, the other, or both would be nice. That is what the UTEC has.

Now you are thinking like me! The ubber best would be allowing the end user to chose spark or fuel, I was just unsure if it was possible at all. After reading up on the UTEC (friends STI just installed one) I thought this would be a great addition us if possible.

hey guys,

to be honest I havn't looked at this properly yet - I know how its going to work in my head - but usually you find out things on the way :P

no I dont know how todo spark cut yet, but I would have thought fuel cut would have been prefered! - I guess I could do timing retard - alla antilag, just not so much...

Anyways how many of you would consider paying for this and a few other features? Even a small amount from each of you would add up and help reimburse me for the time to go through each ROMID..

cheers

you absolutely should be compensated for your knowledge and time spent creating a custom mod.

I would be willing to pay for this and possibly another ROM mod I would like.

You should start a website like the one for EvoScan where people can rank what they would like you to work on and even suggest what they would be willing to pay.

I have no problem paying you for the time and effort you are putting into this. Sounds great to me!

tephra,

I have no problem paying for features like this for particular ROMs. I'm sure if enough people contribute, the price would be small enough for each of us, but when added all together, would make a big enough contribution for your time and efforts.

Let us know what you are thinking in terms of pricing, etc.

Put me down, I'm sure you'll find that everyone will have no problems paying you for this. I can't image how much time it would take to get this working, let alone the headaches. Good luck..
