Some quarter mile logs for your viewing pleasure

I also started a thread in the Drag Racing forum, but that would be more for feedback on driving skills whereas this forum is more concerned about tuning skills.

Mods: ETS Intake - Helix TBE - #60 Boost Pill - Walbro FP - AGP FMIC - Nisei LICP - PTE 780cc (other stuff in my sig is either on order or sitting in my room waiting for install)

I burned the stock clutch all the way through 1st and 2nd. Ordered an ACT Xtreme when I got home

FYI, I'm using http://logreader.psysem.com for the graphs.

Code:
R/T ... 0.257
60' ... 1.930 (slipping bad)
330 ... 5.414
1/8 ... 8.319 @ 82.88mph
1000... 10.800
1/4 ... 12.866 @ 109.23mph
All in all, I'm happy with the tune... virtually no knock, high boost for pump gas with really good AFRs, I used Tephra's NLTS and my 780's are running great only peaking 70% duty cycle.

Nice graphs.

If you get any faster you'll need to shift into 5th.

I figure I'm at 7300RPM when I go through the trap @ 109.

I won't make power beyond there anyways, but I would probably hold 4th until I start trapping 112, at which point I'm at 7600RPM... on a stock turbo, I'd rather shift to 5th at 105mph (7000RPM)

These numbers are on my summer tires, 255/40/17, Evo IX 5 speed, so your results may vary

I've found that shifting early helps my ETs. Shifting around 6800 or so keeps you in the peak HP area and utilizes more boost. And your foot is likely the culprit of the clutch burn rather than the clutch itself ... after the slack is out of the drivetrain you gotta get off the pedal quick!

The tune looks good though. Boost, Timing, Load all look dead on. I like the taper you've built in ... that's the same approach I've taken. The only thing I'd question is the IDC%. It's not as flat as it could be and looks like you might have a little lean spot in the 5800 - 6000 area. No WBO2 data to show?

my numbers are on the same... and for my trap at 116 i crossed in 4th bouncing off of the rev limiter. You will waste more time shifting that just riding it out. my rev limiter is set at 7800 right now.

but, in other news... the logs look good

That's a pretty interesting taper on your JDM MAP. Do you have it specifically set up that way? I can usually hold around 22-24psi to redline with my stock 10.5 2005 turbo... But, my car seems to be a freak too... (Faster than normal..)

EDIT: Damn, I just looked at your timing too.. Man, i wish I could run those numbers at peak torque... My car only likes to be around 0-3 degrees...

My boost tapers to about 18.5 psi just as his does. I think it's common for the IX.

hes running on pump - so im pretty sure he meant for it to taper that much.
he could definitely do with a little less taper.

also 9s seem to get away with alot of timing at peak torque. I know caught alot of heat when people saw me running 6-7 degrees.

when you run a single gear log you will hit those timing cells that you have set to 0 - 3. When you do consecutive gears, you dont hit those same load cells therefore you are actually running the timing he is. If you look at his load graph then again at his timing graph you will see what im talking about

Exactly ... his timing at peak is actually 3º.

The only thing I question is the 22* at redline. The 9 timing normally stops adding mph at 16-18* on pump.

Yeah i would think 3-5* at peak would be where you want to dial in. Then again it is all dependent on mods. Dex we need some DPs

That 22º is during the shift. 13º at red line.
