when i plug the cables into the car I get the ABS light and the 3 center dif lights flashing.. is that normal?

also, ecuflash can't seem to download my rom, has this happened to anyone?
it says to look at the log:

"interface closed"

 

My cable does the flashy lights thing - i purchased mine from limitless.co.nz apparently it happens with all their cables.

Once your speed goes above 20 (not sure if its kph or mph) the lights stop activating and it looks like normal

As for downloading the ROM, it could be a number of things. Apparently you car battery charge level is a key factor. Make sure it is nicely charged before you try to read.

 

I really want to try somene else cable now.. I tried this on my friend IX and I didnt work either.

 

i tried reading another evo 9 today. Kept getting failures in ecuflash.

So i started the car, started datalogging with mitsulogger to see if the cable was interfacing correctly.

Then i tried again with ecuflash and it worked first try
