mod roms to run 6 injectors?
creating PWM output for alky kit
Ok, I've been searching for a while now trying to find an old thread where someone mentioned the ECU's are actually setup to run up to 6 injectors so they can be used on a few other vehicles? I was wondering if anyone has dabbled into that realm and can actually get injector outputs to function. This would be great for alky injection and you can use the PWM to run a single or dual injectors instead of the standard spray nozzles. Use a 1:1 AFPR to adjust the mixture percentage while having it stay at the exact same mixture percentage. If you can't program the additional injector output to trigger at a certain load value, you possibly could use a boost switch to activate it like the standard alky kits. If this has been discussed to death, I apologize guys.

That was me and it was yet another case of me being wrong. However if we can find or prove that the second MIVEC map has a pin output on the ECU then you could use it to control something...I would theorise at any rate.
Ok, so the challenge is on for someone to find a way to create an injector pulse width signal output (I'm assuming it would be 12 volts already). Anyone know of a REALLY cheap peak n' hold low resistance injector driver? Even better, have the additional output be an exact replica of one of the injector outputs so its a true peak n' hold driver! Then you can power it directly from the ECU, not usre what kind of current output or resistance control you can get it to have though.
Chop chop boys, lol. I have faith.

This is the only unit I know of from previous systems I have messed with.

Is this what you were thinking? The Injector driver that you linked looks awfully close to the AEM one, though the AEM piggyback will also run additional injectors.

I didn't want anything that had ignition capabilities for the obvious reason that its not needed of course. The AEM fuel/ignition controller (F/IC) is cool but overkill. I literally would need a controller that took the PWM signal (either by tapping off of an injector or by creating an output from the ECU) and then recreates it to run a single or dual injector setup.
One thing I like about the 034 Motorsport unit is the ability to only have it activate at the preset MAP sensor level. The nice thing is if you match the injector size to be say, 30% of the fuel delivery, since its running the same PWM as the stock injectors it will always be 30% of the fuel volume.
Get one of these , an inexpensive peak and hold fuel injector, AFPR with 1:1 rising rate with 30-70psi static range (to have adjustability of the mix ratio), and a fuel pump setup that can exceed 100psi and 25GPH and you have a rather decent,"consistent as all hell" setup.
Granted, this is just as expensive as some other alky kits if you add in the cost of the injector driver. If you purchased this stuff used, you could make this setup for as little as the entry level alky kits from most companies. It would be so sweet if some genius on this forum could figure out how to create an injector driver output!
