I hope it's not the clutch, because I'm already on my 2nd twin disc with one rebuild in there since the February prior to last. (Long and painful story.) And I only have about 2k miles on this clutch, with extremely proper break in.

I've been told that it's just the nature of the lightweight flywheel, which I tend to believe. It's something I can live with. I just hope all the clutching I do doesn't wear out my TOB too quickly. Well, you gotta pay to play.
HKS SSQV
You did replace the TOB when you switched out the clutch?

The ECU looks for RPM over the set value, plus idle switch or throttle closed switch made, and it cuts fuel.
Yep, the stock ECU has it to. And theres a way to disable it.

I meant to imply that the stock EVO ECU has it, like the 1g and 2g, but I suck.

changing the idle stepper table will get rid of it. theres a thread about it around here (ECUflash forum)

Yep. Everytime. It's a cheap part that can cause a lot of headache if not done.

BTW: I recirculate the SSQV. But I might swap it out with a different BOV to see if that resolves the issue.

If its just compression braking, is it possible to max out the MIVEC table in the low load, moderate rpm cells so that there is as much blow through as possible? Probably would make only a small difference I guess.

Drivetrain slop?

When I let off the gas in the conditions you stated, my car jerks back and forth quite annoyingly.

Tephra, can you release a patch to get rid of drivetrain slop? he he...

any luck finding this magic code? I'd be interested in getting rid of this effect as well.

I honestly find it difficult to get the injectors to shut off. When letting off, and going down hill my AFR are still around 14, I blip the throttle and THEN it realizes and the AFR goes up to 20 (leanest the WB can read). Maybe that helps you find it? For me it only engages after an abrupt throttle change.
