first thing you should do is scale your injectors properly

But if he JUST does that, with the open loop settings messed with and the tables tuned for the bigger injectors... The car will be a time bomb. It will be ALL OVER THE PLACE.

That's why he needs to start with a stock rom to avoid the danger of that A/F map and open loop settings.
Which will do god knows what when his a/f actually matches the tables again.

Think about it.

Ok so I did already try re-flashing what i think is a stock 05 Evo 8 ROM and im not sure if they years matter but i changed the Immobilizer code and the car just didnt want to start. So after that i thought maybe if i copy all the info instead to my ROM and then re-flash it again but the same thing the car wouldnt start it would turn over but not start. So with that in mind im going to go buy a few new sets of spark plugs and switch them in to see if that makes any difference. And yes i didnt replace the ones i had in it because i actually did buy some plugs but i ended up buying Champion one day because thats all they had and i was just finishing up the car so i wanted to see if it would start.
Edit:: The Champion plugs i had bought were the iridium spark plugs and i didnt know how they would be for the car.

I think you are relieved of any car part spending thus far.

Good luck with the tune!

You only buy NGK plugs.

The year does matter. Go into ecuflash and see what rom ID the map you had was.

That's the rom you need to flash to the car. It doesn't have to be that particular one, but, it should be the same ID.

Make sure the immobilizer is right. Read the map from the car and see if it matches the previous one on the other map. It probably doesn't.

Go in the inj scaling thread and read it. There are some base settings for lat that might atleast get the car moving. But you REALLY need to know what size the inj are. Really.

I'd just keep pushing the scaling up until it will move.

But you better get mitsulogger working so you can see
LTFT lo/mid
and Batt
and lat

That will make your life easier.

I have mitsulogger and it does work i just cant log anything because of that fact the car wont get out of its own way without me pushing behind it. And to Broddey do i need ur 2 cents if its just to criticize me ? No not really im here to ask for help and i know i have bought some parts where i should have researched and bought others but the thing is i dont care because i like being broke spending all my money on my car that i think of as my invest to keep me out of trouble. So I think ill be fine deciding what i should be buying for my car especially when i ask members here and vendors politely what they think i should go with and why. I said above the only reason i spend the 50$ on ****ty champion plugs that i dont run even in my lawn mower is because i wanted to here its lopey idle again when i had finally got it back together to a running state after two years. And thank Asmodeus for the feedback. I actually did run through that Injector Scaling thread and took down some numbers which i did try but i think with my ROM it didnt matter what i put even if i had it perfect for the injectors i had because once again it didnt want to start. But im going to find another 03 Evo 8 ROM i can use. And one downfall is while i would buy new injectors i dont have them right now and i still would like to get it running for now even though itll just be a headache for me so ill have to deal with it until i get the money for the injectors after i take care of the other loose ends i need to tighten up and buy parts for also. Just a money issue now like usual.

Ok so i have a 03 Evo 8 and in ECU Flash here is the info :
-Evo ID: Nothing Listed
-Case ID: MN132874
-Internal ID: 94170008
Memory Model: SH7052
Out of that information im guessing that i should be looking for a ROM with the same Internal ID or no ?

Yes. You need a 94170008 ROM.
Go to open ecu . org

Or search around the ecu flash forum and look for a threads with posted stock roms.

Grab one that is a ^ rom and use that one. Swap your immo. Make sure you type Ox before you type in the immo. Or it will jumble F on you. (gay)

Then work on finding the inj size.

Or get ahold of Mellon.
And save yourself A L O T of headaches.
www.mellontuning.com

Chris will fix it all if you just want to pay someone to do it right.
He will, do it right.

I have spoken with you in PM, but I wanted to know if you have even considered talking to mellon about looking at your ROM compared to your mod list to try and help you get a base tune so that you can get this thing running?

He will work with you and tell you exactly what he is doing and why to help you learn your car and the tuning process.

lol...Yah i actually have talked to Mellon in PM and email. I told him i didnt want to waste either of our own times trying to figure something out when im not sure on everything that he needs to know. I am actually in the process of sending out my TB to FFTEC to get re done with knew bushings, spring and the isc adapter. I heard a lot of good things about Mellon so i had originally went to him especially when i started seeing a lot of threads about a so called tuner and peoples cars just not running safely or just having all kinds of problems. People guessed who my car was tuned by and it is the same person so i figured i would be running into the same thing people were saying that he just pastes the same vaules for every car so its just hacked.

Ok i found the 70008 rom thru aktivematrix. While im messing with the rom should i try and paste in the info for ecu flash to run 2byte load ? With that ROM flashed to my ECU it should run correct ? Well not run great but hoefully better than the hacked tune i have flashed now. And again to clarify another thing i had said about the spark plugs i use. I did buy the Champion ones but they never made it into the car. I just put the NGK ones back in im not sure how they are now probably black as all hell from the car running so rich so ill be buying new ones. The car was bought with 18k on it and it now has 23k on it with the last mile on it probably being around 2 years ago.

I thought of this after it was posted. Seriously. Its a 10 minute job. Put the stockers back in until you figure out what they are. Then run a stock map until you get accustomed to ecuflash, or feel ready for a mellon tune.

Much better idea if you have them.
