Thoughts on the wideband

Ok so my wideband, a ZT-2 unit, is being erratic in its readings. Often it will just stay at 14.7 AFR and never change for great periods of time but then suddenly after a long drive it will periodically start working.

I've changed the sensor once about a week ago and it worked great for like 2 days then it started doing this crap again. The sensor is installed by the cat in the 3 o'clock position.

Any tips thoughts?

Have you performed a free air calibration on it? Or does this type not need/have the provisions of a recalibration?

I'd email zeitronix. They have gotten back to me quickly before. Wonder if the display shows 1 lambda when there is no signal, could be a wiring problem?

A bad O2 sensor or missing connection between the Zt-2 and the O2 sensor. If possible swap for a good known O2 sensor. Check wiring. Make sure there are no intermittent connections between the O2 and the Zt-2.
email sales at zeitronix dot com for details. We will walk you through it step by step.

Yes, in electronics is all about connections. Electromechanical parts are the most vulnerable

my friend had this issue also.... but his was loose wiring. i know running leaded gas will lead to wideband readings 'sticking' but doesnt sound like the case according to your description.
