Evoscan: bhp & torque readout

Hello all,

I would like to know if anybody tried the bhp & torque readout funtions in evoscan, and whether or not the readouts given are accurate.

In case they're not accurate, are they consistent?? ie: let's say i upload one map, the readout is 335 bhp. When i upload another map, the readout is 340 bhp. I understand that these figures might not be accurate, but can i be sure at least based on the abv readings that map2 produces more bhp than map1??

thx

I think people use it to compare tunes. I have. But all other variables need to be consistent to do that. (road conditions, weather, etc.)

I've tried to use it but it's been totally flaky. For example, something like 320 hp one day and 487 the next on the same tune. It "should" be as accurate as any rpm/time calculation, but I haven't seen it be consistent at all.

It is just like using DLL for its power graph option.

If you start using it continue to use it so that you can see the difference in tunes and parts you may add or change on the car.

It is a good way to see how changes affect the car.

There is a thread, in this forum, that has the changes you have to make to EvoScan for it to work. I did it to mine and it came pretty close to my dyno. Max power on the dyno was 284whp @ 6500rpm and on EvoScan it came out with 289whp@7500rpm. It is not exact but it is a pretty good ball park.

so mainly if if gives u 340 for a map and 330 for another, it means that there is actually a 10 bhp difference, although the 340 bhp itself might be wrong???

@DrivinMissDaisy: which thread plz?
