Okay before this comes up I thought I would mention about the stock ecu and the 379.85% load clip. There has been one Green and I am sure pretty much every GT30/35 that come close to hitting this and then you end up tuning on the last line regardless of boost.

Now MJ and others have pointed out that this doesnt mean the stock ECU has a max hp but rather this is where the stock MAF runs out of resolution and the ECU caps.

For a quick thought experiment lets look at it like this-

Anything above 100% is boost (not exactly but bear with me) and the ECU caps at 379. That is 279 potential load sites to work with, but since I dont like running to the edge lets say 270.

Now assume you know for instance that you are gonna run a max of 40psi thorough some form of aftermarket MAF. After rescaling the MAF (assume GM 3" for this exercise) so that 40psi of positive pressure equates to 370 load, this would give you 6.75% (270/40) load per psi to play with. Since I doubt anyone that wants to run 40 psi is going to use anything less than an AEM, lets scale it back to 30psi (meth and pump on the street). 270/30 is 9% per psi and this isnt too unliveable. Now while I am talking some artistic license with what may be possible, adding something like a MAFT or MAFT Pro only to remove that stock MAF limit and then tune with the ECU for both fuel and timing (MIVEC where applies) to me still applies. I know that MJ has scaled a GM MAF with the stock table and I remember him saying that with his 35R he was averaging 331 or something. I dont know what boost that was, maybe someone remembers, but I do remember that Smogrunner was hitting the stock MAF limit with 23psi or something ridiculously low.

I think some may remember my example of crazy rescaling that you would want to do to take advantage of something like this:

With the scaling every 8% and the max of 335 that would give you good resolution for 29.375psi (235/8) as an example. I would do the rpm as normal though since that was just a crazy idea for a race only map.
