I had a copy of pro laying around so I didn't need one.

That puts you in normal laptop territory tho. One with more power, more memory, and at minimum a bigger screen!
Which puts me in a situation where buying a decent laptop for home, and swapping out the ageing one I have now for car use as the better option.
I already have the car adapter for it anyway. lol!
