Anyone using an Asus Eee PC w/EcuFlash?
This thing looks perfect for tuning or track datalogging. Small (ultraportable notebook), light and no hard drive to get damaged and pretty cheap.

If anyone gets one and confirms that it works with EcuFlash, EvoScan, etc., please post up.
Thanks.

hellcat - you realize the eee pc runs linux right? I know you can run wine to run windows progs on linux, but i dunno about the tactrix cable drivers.
Also, with the small hd space you can toss out the idea of a dual boot system. I tried searching on openecu.org about installing ecuflash on linux, but i couldn't find anything solid. People on there say it is possible though. I'd try going there and asking around..

You can always build a CarPC for your car as well. Not only will you have logging and added gauges anytime you want, but you can use the CarPC for GPS, mp3s, games, movies, or whatever else floats your boat.
I've had a CarPC in my car for a few years now. If you want to do some research, just go to http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/

I bought an EEE PC for this.
I works fine. Why would it not?
I bought a XP Pro license and then proceded to put XP Pro on it. I also upgraded the Ram to 2Gb and added a 4GB SD card. XP takes up 3GB of space if you put the full install on the EEE PC. You can slim it down if you wanted. Asus actually has windows drivers for the thing on their website. Everything works on it perfectly including the wireless.
ECU flash, ECU scan, and Logworks from innovative all work fine on it.
If someone wants me to customize one for them I can do so for a fee.

looks great... but for $30 I just had a bracket made to hold my laptop. It bolts to the "V-brace" in the rear, behind the rear seats. I just CADed it up and sent it out. I use it at every race without issue (road course).

I did a few of these for customers the other day / one actually purchased a bigger flash drive and had me install that then install dual boot windows/linux and install more ram.
works fine with windows accepted all drivers so i forsee no problems.
