if #1 and #4 are different (by a decent amount) then the fuel map is used in some degree...
Sounds good!

Here is a good diagram for the stealth fuel system. Pretty much a mitsu, right?

Also can you do me a favor and look at the routine and see how stoich is calculated after a voltage input is received from the front O2... we know the front O2 is basically a switch and works in conjunction with the STFT to maintain stoich, but I would like to know exactly how the IPW/IDC is calc'd afterwards.

Thanks
The routine itself is pretty annoying to follow.

From what I can tell however it appears to all be based inside of the big CAS sub. There are two variables which i'm calling O2_Trim_Adder and Subtractor which are appended to the current o2 trim following a bitwise decision on how much should be applied.

The two variables themselves seem to be created on one subroutine. The routine itself splits into two personalities which is a default mode and a lookup mode. Based on the inputs from the rom it looks like its permenantly set to the lookup mode.

This is where things get a bit sticky for me. The routine itself has a base value with two options which are multiplied with a lookup table for both the subtractor and adder variables. The axis value i can't figure out but since it handles both of these adding and subtracting variables I think its really some offset ADC volts from the desired voltage.

The tables for the 9417 rom I'm disassembling are located here:
<table name="O2 Trim Table" address="51ca" type="2D" level="1" scaling="O2 Trim">
<table name="X" address="6d3c" type="X Axis" elements="11" scaling="VoltsADC1023"/>
</table>

<table name="O2 Trim Table" address="51DC" type="2D" level="1" scaling="O2 Trim">
<table name="X" address="6d3c" type="X Axis" elements="11" scaling="VoltsADC1023"/>
</table>

Mystery Voltage Compare:
<table name="Front O2 Volts" address="1f7e" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Volts16"/>

Subroutine locations for the trim are:
0x15412
0x24DC4
0x13194

Hello everybody!
What is the best timings for fuel economy in 0-3000rpm and 0-100 load?
I can not find the limit - for example this map has zero knock. Should I add even more timing in 1500-2500 area? Let's say make it 40-43? Possibly better fuel economy in this area will be on stock timing?
Second issue is mivec in the same area - it has even more influence on how smoth the car goes, and possibly less degree (than in my map) is even better?
Looking for comments.
Thanks)

We need more information to answer your question. What type of fuel are you running and what mods are on your car?

Your timing is more advanced than what I use for best mpg for high octane fuels. The normal setting is 34-38* at cruise. This may be because you are not using EGR, or because you have zeroed out the EGR advance tables, which can add up to 8* of advance on top of your ignition maps. The total advance at cruise with EGR is from 42-48*.

Knock is not counted by the stock ECU under 60 load @ 2500 RPM, or 70 load @ 3000 RPM. You can hit pre-ignition (knock) during light cruise if you continue to advance timing but no knocksum is logged by the ECU. Your friend in this situation is a set of det cans. These are headphones connected to a plastic tube, (like a doctor's stethoscope), run through the firewall to a hard mounting point on the block.

Let us know how your testing goes. I have not seen any other threads on EvolutionM where people have experimented with advanced timing on 95-98 RON to increase MPG.

yes EGR ign adv is zero now.
Any ideas about mivec tuning for best economy in this area?

Can't help you dom11 with Mivec as I'm running an VIII.

One idea is to set a static MIVEC advance for the load you cruise at. (For me, 30-40 load)

Then log PSIG and see how much vacuum you pull at a certain target cruise speed.

Then go back and change the static value by 5-10* and go back and cruise the same speed and road. Try to hit the same loads and see if the PSIG vacuum was higher or lower than the last setting at your desired cruise speed.

The point is that more vac means more VE for the given load/rpm. So you can basically target say 40mph at 35 load and set a static 10* advance. You may pull -7 vac. Then you adjust for static 15* advance. You see -8 vac. Okay that was better, now try 20* advance. Ooops now it's -6 vac, you went backwards.

Do this for all the major cruise points with both the intake and exhaust cam. 1 at a time obviously. That should help you quite a bit with mileage if done properly.

Good luck!
