remote start/2step

soi have a remote start on my car and my tuner told me that i am unable to have both the 2step and remote start at the same time.. im thinking its because of the clutch, and how the remote start makes the car think its there when stationary.. so wanted to know if there was a way to run both, either with a relay.. hope this is the right section for this question

thats not true...

There are two plugs for the clutch.. one will disable the 2step limiter the second disables needing to have you clutch down while starting... If you look behind your clutch youll see a little box with a button on it, follow that up and youll see a harness. Unplug that and youre ready for remote start.

Cheers!

i just unplugged that harness, so i dont have to put the clutch in to start the car (like on my e36) and 2 step still works

you might want to look into getting a new tuner....

no, dont replug anything, that switch on the bottom is just a switch to say if clutch is not pressed, dont start the car....

so just leave the switch disconnected at all times and you can use your remote start and use your two step without any issues.

ahh! i went to "the shop" and jr tunned it for me.. he does have really good pricing but i didnt like a few things about how they did business.. because i have a 05 evo (5000 limiter) and after i got the remote start put in, the limiter seemed to never work after that.. but would this be a tunning problem?

I also have a remote starter with no 2-step problems.

Your remote starter should prevent any nasty surprises if it is setup properly for a manual transmission car.
