Knock Help PLEASE

Alright guys I had my knock count down to 1 to 2 and over night it seems it went back up to almost 10. My tuner suggested getting t bolt clamps to replace the cheap band ones that I had. He suspects that I have a boost leak. Unfortunately even after the new clamps she is still getting way too much knock. I still have yet to do a leak test but unless there is so odd ball place where the car could be leaking I am doubting that it is from the hoses. They are nice and tight now. Any help will be greatly appreciated I am at a loss.

Mods are:
Buschur Racing Evolution FMIC (Deluxe Core)
Buschur Racing Mini Battery Kit
Buschur Racing Evolution Mass Air Pipe & Filter Kit
Buschur Deluxe Upper I/C Pipe Kit
ARP Headstuds
Walbro fuel Pump
GSC 1 Cams
Megan Racing 02 housing
Halman boos controller
MR JDm Blow off valve

wrong forum, post in ecuflash

do a boost leak test and if that comes out good then pull 2 degrees of timing in the 240-260 load columns and see if the knock goes down. if your knock still does not go down, throw in some race gas and see if the knock goes down.

if none of that works look for something mechanical that could be setting off the knock sensor. did you bleed your lifters? are they ticking? maybe your DP is hitting something

Was there a drastic change in temperature where you live?

If you are tuned for 90 degree weather, and you run the same boost/tune when its 30 out, your gonna get some knock from the dense air.

you can try replacing your knock sensor, maybe it's getting false knock counts. Or like they said, something is moving mechanically to cause it to trigger. Describe if you made any major mechanical changes with the mods to help us troublshoot it more.

A new DP has been ordered it was still hitting sadly. No major changes were made other than the mods I listed. The cams would have been the biggest change. Ever since I installed the cams the car has had issues with an irregular idle. With the help of my tuner it has gotten better but it is still a work in progress. I am doing a boost leak check on Thursday to see if that is the issue. Are there any other mechanical issues that would cause the knock.

Pull timing and see how that goes. You're AFR seem safe to me? I'd recommend timing and boost leak check. You wanna be careful running that map. If you want me too look at your .hex file let me know, I'm curious too see you're timing map.

Way too much ignition timing. Find a new tuner.

If you would like to try our eflash we would clear it up or refund your fee 100%.

If the downpipe is still hitting pull off your underbrace. All this other talk about bad gas and what not seems unlikely.

Bigger cams idle irregular compared to stock. That is a fact of life. They also build more cylinder pressure and thats why they can facilitate knock.

Looking at your log, the car is rich and not really running the types of load that I would suspect would be knocking. It doesnt seem that you are running particularly high boost either. Try a pull from 3000 or so in 4th gear when you know for a fact that the DP isnt hitting. Your fuel trims look all out of whack as well. Something doesnt seem right with this log or something. Too much timing for the load cell the car was in to be sure though. Where its rolling into boost, those numbers should not be in the 20's and high teens.

The gas has been replaced about 3 times since this problem started to occur. The new DP is ordered to I will be putting that on as soon as she arrives. Also, here is a pdf of my current timing

Also, bear in mind that the car was running almost no counts of knock on this map until just recently. Which leads me to believe that it is either a boost leak or something mechanical. What it would be mechanically I have no idea since I am a noobie.

x2 what TTP said there is way too much timing for your mods and pump gas. Not to mention in the high load cells past your average load the timing is the same. It need to come down as well, just in case you hit it by mistake. I rather the high timing map fix it than the ecu because your knocking to much from going past your tuned load.

you have pm I can fix your map bro

x3 what TTP said, 21 deg at 130 load, 2500 is far to much, should be about half that. Have you reset your ECU in any way between low knock and high knock?
MB

Just saw the timing map, 15 deg at idle.......looks like a bunch of **** mate.
