Are these only for the VIII, anything for the IX?

Sorry if this was asked already but didn't see it mentioned.
Yes you do. Adding the XML info is nothing more than shortcuts which help you edit things inside the actual ROM. Unfortunately, they point to locations that only exist in the "PATCHED" ROM (.bin file) that Tephra supplied.

Yes they will be offered for IX ROM's too. Not sure if any ROM ID's already listed are for any IX's but I do know you will definitely see some on that list. In order to take advantage of the Map Switching feature, you need some way to switch between maps in the IX's. The IX's that came from the factory with the ISC switch (sorry USDM guys )can just flip from the standard maps and the alt maps via the ISC switch so you really don't need any separate switching device, though some prefer the dedicated switch setup.

The link in my sig shows you how to make your own switching harness or you can just buy one of my pre-made one's if you don't feel like putting on your DIY'r shoes

with or without mut, 2byte didn't work...
neither did map switching. Went back to the ICS switch and everything is fine.

Hmm, we can't have you wasting a perfectly good map switching harness now. So I take it you never used a volt meter on your install to see if anything was up?

probably is...i'm going to check the adc input again to double check i tapped into the right one. 99% sure, went by your diagram. As far as the 2byte goes...pretty sure it's a rom specific issue. 9417008 works, 94170014 doesn't...

I've been trying out 96530006 today and I'm sure there is a problem with Alt Map boost control. I've just switched from using my Apexi AVCR boost controller to try out ECU boost control using the AVCR solenoid. I managed to get the boost pretty steady at 1.65 bar in all gears but when I try alt map with the same settings the boost just goes wild, 1.95bar at 3000RPM in 5th. I've seen it go to 2.2 bar before I've let off the gas. The same thing happens even with reduced duty cycle in Alt Map. I didn't take any logs and I probably won't be able to do any more testing for the next few days as the weather is turning really bad.

Did you set it so the ADC input was set to switch the maps, instead of the ICS switch in the Tephra Mod Options table????
You can only use one or the other, not both.

Another 2 questions today for you:
1) What's wrong with RPM in the boost limit table???

2) How to know what map you are running? I found threee states of my ICS light when pressing auto button:
a) flashing slowly
b) constant flashing
c) no light at all
