SoCalRedline,

Try moving the valet limit to 8k. I've had this happen a couple times, works fine then doesn't start after the 2nd or 3rd flash and moving the valet limit up fixes it (even with valet mode off in options)

tephra, I'm surprised you had an issue with starting the car with the scaling being off. I have yet to install injectors that don't start right up even with the factory OEM scaling and latencies. Of course I scale them correctly after.

We had a 9 in the shop the other day getting RC1000 cc's installed. I turned the car on, out of the bay and drove it onto the dyno with no issues at all. All on factory scaling and latencies.

Ok, this might sounds stupid and is probably low on the priority list. For V6/PID stuff would that take care of something like an option for 100% BCS duty at >1mph? I'm thinking this would be good for launching, even though its tough to build much more than ~8lbs on the stock IX turbo.

Even something that allowed you to lock the load that the BCS code sees at >1mph so you can get it by default would be pretty sweet, as long as it didn't raise or lower the correction amounts until you were moving.

A safeguard in case you go over target would be good just in case you installed some antilag i guess .

im building 16lbs. off the line with a stock evo 9 turbo. i used to only be able to build 8 lbs. but that was with the old school method.

What new method is getting you twice the boost? ... my logs were pretty similar to the log i had seen from razorlab, but I'm only launching at ~5300

In any case, I guess that makes this more viable. I'm not sure it integrates nicely into a PID system though

Hello Tephra

I've to report a strange "bug" with the 88840017 V5.5. I don't know if it's a bug in the patch or in ECUflash + patch.

Everytime I try to change a parameter and reflash I get the engine lamp blinking after the reflash. The car will not start (similar if you have a wrong Immobilizer I suppose).
I have to flash another ROM (like the 88840016 or an older one), start the car and then flash the V5.5 once again.

Do you have any clue what it can be?

I'm using EcuFlash 1.34. With the non-patched ROM it always worked.

yeah sometimes the flash overwrites the memory variable which tells the ECU if the valet mode is on or off.

it happens to me too sometimes...

just turn off valet mode like you normally would...

I never used it, how do I turn it off?

If it's so, why the valet mode does not allow to start the car? It should actually start and be limited to the valet mode rpm, isn't it?

Thanks

Valet mode by default sets teh RPM limit to 100 something so the motor wont actually kick over! Kind of like a security feature!

yup...

hold down the TPS to 100% with the IGN on but not running..

10 seconds should do it... flashing should slow down when its off..

Dave, did you get chance to test the live mapping patch I posted for AUDM IX yet? At what version of your patch (if at all) do you want the live mapping to be incorporated?

What I can do is get V5.8 out for your romid first up. that will probably be the last patch I release for a while, just busy with work/life you know

OK. I'm moving house next week, but once 5.8 is mature I'll start patching that.
