Thanks for the clarification Bryan. My boost limit is set at 319.

My past experience with "self tuning" is logging street driving and WOT pulls and then making very minor refinements in timing and fuel. Now, trying and doing more myself has opened up a fun but steep learning curve and a new level of excitement about having more direct control of my car.

Since ECUFlash has been released, much has been learned about what works for tuning Evos. I think you'll be quite happy with the result of your self-tuning effort.

I have a few questions about adding the tephra mods for ROM 88590015 V5, specifically with the notes in the XML file:

1) Change your ENDIAN just below, ECUFlash version 1.31 and higher = "big", 1.30 and lower = "little": Not really sure what this question is all about? I have ECUFlash 1.29

2) Remove your current "Boost Desired Engine Load" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore. No questions here

3) Remove your current "Base Wastegate Duty" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore. Does this mean the Max Wastegate Duty Cycle table, I don't see a Base Wastegate Duty in my ROM.

4) Remove your current Hi/Lo Octane Fuel+Timing #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore: Do I remove both my Hi and Low octane fuel tables?

5) Please test the features of this rom before driving off, if anything doesn't work as expected report back to Tephra.
No questions here

1) The XML code has an "endian" value listed. If you have 1.29, make sure that value is "little" or the scaling will be incorrect.

3) Yes, Max Wastegate Duty.

4) Yes, both. Personally, I've left them as I tune more than just my own vehicle. It doesn't hurt anything.

TouringBubble, I was able to get everything setup correctly but have one question. After removing the High and Low Octane fuel tables in the XML I only have the Alternate High and Low Octane Fuel tables in my maps. With the map switching, do both maps only use the Alternate High and Low Octane Fuel tables?

No.

Map switch on uses the alt maps.

Map switch off it uses the normal maps.

You shouldn't remove the high and low octane maps, you're ADDING the alt maps while retaining the original fuel and ignition maps.

That's what I thought, I should've left them. Do you have the XML markup for the definitions on the High and Low octane fuel maps?

While I'm posting a couple other quick questions:

1. When I turn off the DDS3 will my map just use the base map? I'm pretty sure that's what happens but I'm asking anyways.
2. Do I need the resistor for the DDS3 if I'm using the Alt Map Switch method?

By the way, thanks Tephra and RazorLab. You guys are always of great help!!

Hi guys, I have tried to look for this question to avoid bumping but nothing found...
My question is: Are the IX MR (US) have ICS light installed and connected?
I do not see anything lighting up when switching (supposed to) map...
Is something happen on pin 56 or 90 anyway to connect a LED here?
Any advise?
Thank you all.
