About to get back into speed density testing
Thats why I went one step at a time. I should have my evo X map sensor in this week. I'll get that running and logging. Then - I will finish the SD install and yank out the MAF. Where did you mount your AIT?
I have Buschur's FMIC and SS hard pipes and I wonder if it is thick enough I can tap it to get the GM AIT to thread well enough to seal. And I can't find a 3/8th's SS nut or bung to weld on.
How much richer JB? Honestly what I did was take from like 4000 rpm + and like 160 load + (the whole bottom corner) and flashed it all like 11.X-1. And cut lean spool off at 4000 rpm. Then I turned the A/F tracking on - set its range +15% -10% and made it activate real fast. I think it would solve your problem rather painlessly. With lean spool off the car was horridly rich. So I got it back in the neighborhood of where I wanted to be / then turned A/F tracking back on.
Voila... done.

I have a MAFTPro, and I tried using it's speed density setup with a 3bar GMMAP sensor. I could never get the throttle tip-in settings correct so it would lean out terribly during large throttle changes. I even had turbobob try to help, bu it never worked for me. I ended up getting a GM MAF and running like that for awhile until the MAF sensor **** itself.
BTW, Eric, the MAFTPro can do speed density, the MAFT does translation only.
BlueEVOIX, that is basically what I am doing. I have a JDM 3bar MAP that is taking the place of the stock MAF sensor.

Ok it makes sense now.
Of course, it's still more expensive than using the stock ECU
We are running the MAF Translator on a friends evo. He loves it. I know the 3" GM maf can go well into 700whp as a friend of mine did it years ago.
The MAFT Pro is nice. I run it. I've done wideband feedback and it works well.

Bob has been stellar about adding whatever revisions we think will work best for it.

Even if its just the box / with no wires you can get all the odds and ends easily from FT.
