1-2 shift hesitation?

i was out finishing my tune today and i did one last log running from 1st-4th just to make sure no knock and my 1-2 shift like hesitated badly. the rpms would drop to like 5k before it would go. i was shifting at 7k. not sure wat it is i checked the log and there was no knock anywhere near there just weird. i tried a few times thinking maybe driver error but same exact thing. im recirculating my IX bov, no boost leaks etc. all other shifts were fine just 1-2.

If youre not knocking, i would guess its drivers error. Try shifting a little quicker.

Cheers!

are you saying you were locked out of 2nd till the rpms dropped to 5K?

Your clutch is probably wearing down, you can adjust clutch rod (pedal adjustment) so it is longer. Start saving for a new clutch unless it's just improper adjustment.

sparkplugs have no effect on shifting or gear lockouts.
