Which BRAND of injectors are the easiest to work with/scale?
I'm pulling the parts together to build a 2.3L motor that I'll tune with ECUflash and have some questions about injectors. I trust this group of people a lot more than the Turbo/Power guys.
I'd like to know the spray pattern and direction of spray is VERIFIED to be correct. (same as stock). And that they idle and scale nicely.
Anyone know what brand Buschur and AMS use?

I have the Ams 780's not sure about spray pattern ,etc, i scaled them and my fuel trims are better than stock, i'm not sure what actual brand they are though. I think all the major brands have enough info out there for scaling/latency. Just pick one based on size, etc.
Delphi based injectors are really easy to use. I have been able to get some injectors to less than 3% trim changes.
FIC, Sard, etc. are delphi based.
I have been told the stock spray pattern can be improved on anyway, so looking for one that sprays like stock isnt necessarily what you want anyway.
Lucas really likes how easy the RC's are but you pay a little more for them.

E, I am pretty sure that the Precision is a Lucas Injector. I havent had any problems with them in the smaller sizes, but I think some have had some issues with the 1000's. I scale injectors a little differently though, so maybe thats why?
I find the manufacturer listed latency at as many voltages as possible and then calculate them at our listed voltage or alter the voltage scaling tin the map to get it sync'd. They are usually listed somewhere on the NET, usually at the injector manufactuer's site or a place that handles them. I have a good starting point there, and then I adjust the scaling to where the car idles at 14.7 in closed loop. I go for a drive and check trims at cruise speed (30-35mph) which is typically double IPW as Eric pointed out a long time ago. If I need to bump the trims I do that which ever directions is needed.
At that point, I go to open loop and make some pulls to see where the map values need to be under boost (10.8 target for example). I will watch tip in to make sure its not making BIG swings, and then finish the tune on the car. I have had problems with E85 in the past getting it nailed down in a timely fashion like that, but I did a set of Sard 1000s in almost no time the other night.

RC or Denso are very good. They are the most expensive though too. AMS uses PTE iirc. Btw the stock injectors are pintle style which really aren't that great...technically there spray pattern isn't consistent at high idc's.
I had some PTE 680's prior, they were a piece of cake to tune and set correctly.
I have FIC 1050's now and they took me about twice as long.. I couldn't believe how large of a scaling number I had to use. (1048 scaling) My fuel trims are less than 5% swings on the low and mid trims.

I prefer PTE, I've used the 680, 780, 880 and now 1000cc in my personal car, no problems whatsoever dialing them in....you can't tell it's got upgraded injectors installed.
It's important that you know how to properly scale injectors, and not so important (in my view) which brand of injector you use. This holds true up to 1000cc on the stock ECU. Spray patterns are important, but I've never seen anyone make more power because of them. Having tuned Precision/AMS, FIC/Lucas, Denso/Greddy, and Deitchworks, I really have no favorites -- they all squirt gas and scale out so the ECU is happy.
