tuning in high altitude

i am experiencing truble in tuning boost because i live in mexico city, 2400 meters over sea level, the thing is that if i go near sea level boost rises 4-5 over my seting with the same WDC.

and the other thing is that at the same boost 22 psi my timing also has to go down or i start with knock.

so is there some way to relate wdc with atmosferic presure so i dont have to change my wdc map every time i go near sea level?.

Set up error correction well and it should account for most of it.

Do you have examples of you tune for me to look at. I live at 6000 ft altitude and travel to sea level every day. What I did was tune at sea level. Then adjust error correction at altitude. You can get away with much more timing at altitude. It is best to run less timing for sea level and adjust for your best tune there. Then allow the boost control error correction to add boost at altitude. You may need to adjust some different load cells on spool at altitude. You will see only a little loss in max power at altitude using this method.

What error correction should we use for cars tuned at sea level and then heading to 2300 ft altitude?

How about get an evoX map sensor and setup direct boost control. You can then set target absolute pressures.

Direct boost control does not work with the pill. Ask mrfred, he will tell you that he and I tried to make it work on my car and it did not work. We got the boost to work in 3rd gear, but once we logged in 4th gear, everything went wrong. He personally set the boost on my car, so I know it was not me.

Direct boost control works with the GM 3-port and the bleeder valve that Vishnu uses.
