Knocks at red line fuel cut?
Knocks at red line fuel cut?
I just finished installing my GM 3 Port and set it up to 20 psi all the way to redline. It works great!!! I am glad I did it instead of the boost pill that I already have but never install.
Anyways, I was doing some data logging yesterday and I notice some knocking at redline. Is that common? If I look at the Inj PW it goes to 0 at redline fuel cut and then I got the knocks. I know it is after fuel cut because the Injector PW went to 0 on the log just before the knock occurs. Specifically PW went to 0 on the row before the knock occur Is that OK?

lol, yes that is okay. Fuel cut will cause knock. Fuel cut is no gentle beast, as you might tell by the name. Just don't hit it.
I know that sounds dumb, but its there to save the bearings/valvetrain/etc... not to ask you politely to take your foot out. Just stay off the limiter and make sure you both know where it is and that it is where you want it.

Yep. That makes a lot of sense. The thing is that I was looking at the boost gauge and not at the RPM gauge. I should receive the JDM MAP this week from mrfred so I do not have to stare at the boost gauge at close to 90 MPH which what I think would be 3rd gear pull at redline.
